My mom, Betty Markowitz, was diagnosed with early onset of Dementia in 2008 at the young age of 59 years old. As my brother and I got the diagnosis, we didn’t what to do, who to turn to for advice, and what resources were out there. Unfortunately, none of my friends or my dad had gone through an experience with their parents suffering from a form of Dementia. When there were so many thoughts going through my head. In hindsight, I realize I should have utilized the Alzheimer’s Association Dallas office to help me out with my many questions. I had no idea that this great organization existed.
